RAJAN'S STORY
Â
"I contend that true meditation cannot occur through practice. Meditation is never a result of deliberate action, conscious intention, or will. To qualify as genuine, meditation must occur naturally, spontaneously and most importantly, totally unconditionally on its own, by itself."
Like many of you, my life has been a pursuit of excellence. From my high school days in the rigorous International Baccalaureate program to graduating top of my class, the label "high-achiever" was a badge I wore with pride. My journey continued through university, where I earned a degree in Business Economics from a prestigious institution, and into my twenties, where I successfully owned and managed two franchise businesses.
But my achievements weren't just confined to academics and business. I found love, marrying my soulmate, and maintained strong, enduring friendships. My passions were diverse, ranging from sports like basketball and tennis to the art of cooking gourmet meals. On the surface, my life was a tapestry of success.
Yet, beneath this facade of accomplishment, a profound question lingered: "Is this all there is?" Despite financial freedom and societal accolades, a sense of unfulfillment lingered. The onset of the pandemic in 2019 brought life to a standstill, and with it, a period of introspection began. I experienced anxiety, mild depression, and even panic attacks, as I grappled with feelings of emptiness and guilt. The success I had worked so hard for suddenly seemed lacking.
This inner turmoil led me to explore the realms of purpose and service. I became a certified health coach, but it was meditation that truly captivated me. My journey through meditation was extensive, from Headspace to the ancient teachings of Vipassana and Advaita Vedanta, and the wisdom of modern teachers like Deepak Chopra and Joe Dispenza. I devoured over 100 books on the subject, seeking a deeper understanding.
However, I soon realized that much of what was taught about meditation focused on transient experiences of peace rather than lasting transformation. This revelation was the catalyst for a deeper quest – to rediscover the true essence of meditation. It was more than a practice; it was a pathway to transcendence, to connect with something larger than oneself.
Through this profound journey, I found what I had been seeking all along – a Divine Purpose, a Higher Calling. Meditation became not just a tool for personal fulfillment but a means to contribute to the greater good, to inspire change, and to be a part of a global psychological revolution.
This is why I created 'Genuine Meditation.' It's more than a program; it's a movement. It's about teaching a form of meditation that is profound and impactful, positioning you to embrace your role as a change agent. Together, we can inspire a transformation that goes beyond the individual to the collective, reshaping our world from the inside out.
As someone who has walked the path from existential discontent to discovering a deeper purpose, I bring not just knowledge, but lived experience to guide you on this journey.
His bold proclamation? True meditation is about YOU. Not a mantra, not breathwork, nor isolated sitting. Rajan believes that the crux of genuine meditation lies in observing our intricate human nature and psyche as they unfold organically. He asserts, “Real meditation cannot stem from willful effort. It should arise naturally, spontaneously, and unconditionally."
This newfound wisdom led Rajan to forgo all traditional forms of meditation. Instead, he now champions a meditation approach where transformations resonate beyond just the individual, with the potential to reshape society's very fabric. Hence, 'Genuine Meditation' was born — devoted to teaching a more profound, impactful form of meditation.
